Financial and Social Returns

Investors earn a modest interest while their money funds renewable infrastructure and social impact. Community energy projects generate threefold value: financial returns, environmental benefits through renewable generation and social benefits via community reinvestment.

Reputation and Brand Benefits

Partnership or sponsorship positions your organisation as a leader in sustainability. Solar projects are highly visible and demonstrate a tangible commitment to net‑zero targets. Joining CEP as an organisational member or sponsor can enhance your brand and build goodwill with customers, employees and the wider community.

Investment Structure

CEP’s community share offers are issued by a registered Community Benefit Society. Shares are withdrawable and not traded on a stock exchange. Investments qualify for tax reliefs where available. Download our investment pack for full details of share terms, projected returns and the legal structure of our share offer. We also offer tailored presentations for businesses and investors—contact us to schedule a session.

Have a large rooftop or site in Preston? We’re looking for organisations with suitable roof space, partners interested in local energy delivery and institutions supporting skills and local supply chains. CEP can install solar panels with no capital investment from the host. We provide the funding and manage pre‑construction, installation and ongoing operations. Hosts buy the electricity at a discounted rate through a long‑term agreement, gaining cost certainty and meeting climate commitments. Contact us to discuss how community energy could work for your building.
