Robin holds an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire and brings practical sector expertise in delivering low-carbon retrofit solutions. Previously, Robin was part of the net zero team at Together Housing Association, where he was responsible for driving one of the UK’s pioneering solar-plus-storage pilot projects in the social housing sector. This programme deployed solar photovoltaic panels and on-site battery storage across 250 homes in Lancashire, enabling significant carbon savings and household energy bill reductions, while establishing a demonstrator model for scalable renewable deployment in existing social housing stock. The pilot collected crucial data on performance, resident engagement and investment modelling to unlock future largescale roll-out and commercial pathways for solar and storage in retrofit programmes – directly supporting Together Housing’s net zero transition and resident affordability goals.
